Day 210: Good Fortune Awaits You in Acrylic on Canvas 14″ x 11″
A special request by Neha. She is a friend I made in CA that lives in MA. I get to see her today and personally deliver it. Yay!
Day 128: Abstract Eye in Acrylic on Canvas Paper
It’s such a surprise sometimes what happens on the page. I had no idea what the plan was when I started the first line.
Day 120: Abstract Birds and Other Stuff in Acrylic on Canvas Paper
I started out tonight with lots of color on the background. Then I scrunched up Saran Wrap on top and let it dry a bit. After I peeled it off I turned it around and around until I started to see all sorts of birds, but not your typical birds. They were skewed imaginary birds. And no, I have not been drinking or smoking funny cigarettes.
Day 119: Bird and Floral in Acrylic on Canvas
It’s a little busy but I’m ok with it. I loved the circles from a couple days ago so I infused them into it. Also felt like doing a larger piece today. It’s 24″ H x 18″ W.
Recently a friend of my Mom celebrated her birthday. She is always doing such wonderful things for my family that I decided to do a little something special for her birthday. I painted her a cross in acrylic on a 5″ x 7″ canvas. She is very spiritual and you can’t have too many crosses around the house. Word is that she loved it and it is already framed and sitting out for everyone to see. I am so happy she likes it.
A painting inspired by my love for all things Mexican and the fish that I am obsessed with.
This painting took longer than I inticipated. I spent a lot of time on the bird. I sold this to a wonderful lady in San Diego. I hope she is getting much joy out of it.
Sometimes the notion hits me at the weirdest times. This painting started and finished in about 3 hours. I don’t know where it comes from. The craziness, the anxiousness to paint it right NOW!
My Wow Bird was one of the first paintings I did. I love this one so much.
